The Needham slope after terracing, with a granite wall, stone steps and new plantings

Our work

Four properties, with
the numbers left in.

We list how much stone, how many linear feet and how long it took. Those are the numbers you need to compare us with anyone else.

Job 01

The slope in Needham.

The lot dropped 13 feet over 65 and had not been touched since 2013. We cleared the volunteer saplings, dug it out and built two terraces with dry-laid granite blocks. The steps between the levels are set in gravel instead of concrete, so they can be adjusted if the ground moves.

Jobs 02 and 03

A driveway and a hedge.

Granite slabs and cobblestones being set on stone dust with a string line and level
Driveway in Wellesley 1,020 square feet of concrete pavers with granite curbing and a drainage channel at the street. We dug out 22 inches and put in a new base, because the old driveway had sunk in the wheel tracks. Three weeks, one of them to let the base settle before we laid the pavers.
Arborvitae hedge trimmed to a straight top with a pole trimmer
The hedges at an HOA in Newton 1,050 feet of arborvitae across 22 lots, trimmed twice a year since 2019. We cut to 5 feet 7 inches where the association decided, and we haul away the clippings. Two days per round with four people.

Job 04

The condo grounds in Waltham.

Four buildings, 45,000 square feet of lawn and nineteen planting beds. We took over the care in 2021 after the association had changed contractors twice in three years.

Riding mower on a large lawn between apartment buildings
Summer Mowing every other week from May to September, edging along the beds once a month. The same two people every time, so nobody has to show them where the spigots are.
Leaf blowing on a paved path between buildings on a rainy fall day
Fall Leaf cleanup in three rounds between October and November, hauled away. Walkways first, lawn last, so nobody walks on wet leaves in the dark.
